Two riverfront cabins on stilts above the St. Marys River near the Okefenokee Swamp in Folkston, Georgia, with a private white railed dock at the water
Three brothers own this stretch of bank. We built it for our own families first, and it still feels that way.

Most places near the Okefenokee put you in a room and leave you to drive to the water. This one is the water. The porch runs between the two cabins and looks straight down at the river, and the bank below it drops away to white sand and blackwater.

You take the whole property, both cabins and the porch. There is never anybody else booked at the same time as you.

Common questions

Where can you stay near the Okefenokee Swamp?

Lodging near the Okefenokee is split between motels in Folkston and Waycross, the campground and cabins at the refuge gate, and a small number of private riverfront rentals. 3 Brothers Landing is one of the riverfront options, on the St. Marys River at Folkston, 10 minutes from the eastern entrance, with its own boat ramp.

Are there cabins on the St. Marys River?

Yes, though there are very few. Public access along the upper St. Marys is thin, so most of the frontage is private. 3 Brothers Landing is two cabins on stilts directly on the bank at Murray Landing Road, Folkston, Georgia.

Does 3 Brothers Landing have a boat ramp?

Yes. The property has its own private boat ramp, so guests can launch a kayak, canoe or small boat straight from the property rather than driving to a public landing.

How many people does it sleep?

Up to six, across two cabins joined by a shared porch. The whole property is rented to one party at a time, so both cabins always come together.

How much does it cost?

$175 a night plus a $75 cleaning fee per stay, with a two-night minimum. That is for the whole property rather than per person.

Is there a kitchen?

Yes. The main cabin has a stove, a full size refrigerator, all the cookware, a toaster and a coffee pot, so you can cook properly rather than eating out. There is also a charcoal grill and a flat top griddle outside.

Can I clean fish there?

Yes. There is a fish cleaning station under the main cabin, so the catch is dealt with down by the water rather than in the kitchen.

Is it good for families with children?

Yes. There is a swing set back from the bank and a covered barn with a picnic table, and the property sleeps six. The river bank is steep, so children need supervising at the water.

Is it open yet?

Not yet. It is opening soon. You can ask about a specific week through the contact page and we will get back to you as soon as the booking calendar is live.
