The place
Two riverfront cabins, one porch, one party
Both cabins are small, both are raised on stilts against the river, and they sit ten feet apart with a deck running between them. Together they sleep six. You book the whole property, never a single cabin.
The porch is the whole thing. It runs between the two cabins and looks straight down at the St. Marys, and most people end up spending the evening on it rather than inside. Below it the bank drops away to white sand and dark water.
The main cabin is the one with the kitchen and the shower. It has a full size bed, a stove, a full size refrigerator, all the cookware, a toaster and a coffee pot, and a television. You can arrive with groceries and cook properly the first night.
The tiny house alongside it has a bed and a loft sleeping area above, with its own small fridge and television. Between them they sleep six.

The porch
Between both cabins, river straight ahead. Rockers, a table, and the sound of the water.
The main cabin
Full size bed, kitchen, shower, television. Stove, full size fridge, cookware, toaster and coffee pot.
The tiny house
A bed with a loft sleeping area above it, a small fridge and its own television.
Two grills
Charcoal for the slow cooking and a flat top griddle for breakfast.
Fish cleaning station
Under the cabin, so the catch never comes up on the porch.
Covered barn
A picnic table under cover, which is where everyone ends up when it rains.
Swing set
For the kids, back from the bank.
The dock
White rail out over the bank. The best seat on the place at sundown.
The boat ramp
Private. Walk down and put a boat in whenever you like.
Fire ring
Down by the water, with the sand bank in front of it.
Before you come
This is a river bank, not a resort. It is safe if you treat it like what it is.
- Children at the water are supervised, every time.
- Life jackets are on the hook by the ramp, adult and child sizes.
- No swimming after dark, and no alcohol on the water.
- The ramp is used at your own risk. It is steep when wet.
- Fires only in the ring, dead out before bed.
- Take your trash out with you.
Common questions
Can you rent just one of the cabins?
No. The two cabins are rented together as one property to one party at a time. That keeps the porch, the ramp and the bank private to whoever is staying.
How are the beds arranged?
The loft cabin has a bed up under the roof and a second bed below it. The other cabin has a bedroom and the full bathroom. Six people fit comfortably.
Is there a bathroom in both cabins?
The full bathroom is in one of the two cabins, a few steps across the shared porch from the other.
Is there internet?
Yes, there is Starlink on the property. It works well enough to take a call from the porch, though most guests come here to be off it.
Are pets allowed?
Not at the moment. The property sits on an open river bank with a steep drop to the water.
What is in the kitchen?
A stove, a full size refrigerator, all the cookware, a toaster and a coffee pot. The tiny house has its own small fridge as well. Both cabins have a television.
Is there somewhere to cook outside?
Yes. A charcoal grill and a flat top griddle, plus a covered barn with a picnic table for eating out of the weather.
Where do I clean fish?
There is a fish cleaning station under the main cabin, a few steps from the water.
Can we launch our own boat?
Yes. The boat ramp belongs to the property and guests are welcome to use it for kayaks, canoes and small boats.
